Kyojin Awarded in Vienna for Its Research on Microbiota and Type 2 Diabetes

On April 30, 2022, Kyojin participated in the International Congress on Microbiome, Microbiota, and Probiotics, held in Vienna, Austria. This globally recognized scientific event was organized into three parallel sub-congresses, each focused on current applications of the microbiota in different areas of health:

  • Digestive and Metabolic Health
  • Pregnancy, Birth, and Early Childhood (“the first 1,000 days”)
  • Oral Health

Kyojin was the only Argentine delegation present at the congress, represented by Dr. Roberto Grau and his research team, who presented an innovative clinical study on the use of the probiotic Bacillus subtilis natto DG101 as an adjuvant in the treatment of type 2 diabetes in humans.

This scientific work was honored with the Best Scientific Poster Award in the Digestive and Metabolic Health category, representing international recognition of the high level of research driven by Kyojin.

Our commitment to developing evidence-based probiotics and prebiotics is reflected in achievements like this, which reaffirm the value of the gut microbiota as a key tool for overall health.

With pride and responsibility, we continue to position Latin American science at the heart of global discussions on wellness and preventive medicine.
