KYOJIN Biolarvicide is a liquid solution developed for the selective control of mosquito larvae in stagnant water, helping prevent the spread of disease-carrying insects such as those that transmit dengue. Its eco-friendly, non-toxic formula works without polluting the environment or harming people, animals, or plants.
Mosquito and midge larvae spend most of their time on the water’s surface in order to breathe. For this reason, the amount or dosage of the product depends on the surface area of the water (measured in cm or m), not on the volume (liters) of water. In this way, Kyojin Biolarvicide exerts its larvicidal effect on the water’s surface—where the larvae targeted for elimination are located. After ingesting Kyojin Biolarvicide, mosquito and midge larvae stop their metabolism within the first few hours, resulting in larval death within 12 to 24 hours.
When applied to flower vases, aquatic plants, pet water bowls, or other water containers, the biolarvicide interrupts the development of larvae before they become adult mosquitoes. There is no need to remove the water from the container, making it especially practical for everyday household use.
Its effectiveness against Aedes aegypti is supported by certified studies from CEPAVE (Center for Parasitological and Vector Studies), part of the National University of La Plata (UNLP) and CONICET.
